Surah Falak, also known as “The Daybreak” or “The Dawn,” is the 113th chapter (Surah) of the Quran, the holy book of Islam. It is a short chapter consisting of five verses and is often recited by Muslims for protection from evil and harm. The Surah is in Arabic, but here is its transliteration and English translation:
Transliteration Of Surah Falak:
Bismillahir-Rahmanir-Raheem
Qul a’udhu bi rabbil-falaq
Min sharri ma khalaq
Wa min sharri ghasiqin idha waqab
Wa min sharri-n-naffa-thaati fil-‘uqad
Wa min sharri hasidin idha hasad
English Translation Of Surah Falak:
In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful.
Say, “I seek refuge with (Allah), the Lord of daybreak,
From the evil of what He has created,
And from the evil of the darkness when it settles,
And from the evil of the blowers in knots (sorcerers),
And from the evil of an envier when he envies.”
Muslims recite Surah Al-Falaq, along with Surah Al-Nas (the 114th chapter of the Quran), as a form of protection and seeking Allah’s safeguard from various forms of harm, both physical and spiritual.
